About Lindsay

The City of Lindsay is located at the base of the Sequoia mountains and the quaint downtown offers art and culture, dining, shopping, sports and fitness, and fun.

Lindsay is a community rich in the history and traditions of early California. Known as the birthplace of modern irrigation, Lindsay is making plans for its Centennial celebrations. Since the turn of the century, Lindsay California has been a mecca for pioneers, inventors, artists, and entrepreneurs. Plans for 100 events to celebrate this occasion are underway. CentennialLogoEach year, visitors are drawn to the diverse festivals and events which promote and enhance the creative traditions of of Lindsay. The annual Orange Blossom Festival, The Lindsay Mural Tours, and the Friday Night Street Faire and Farmer's Market are just a sampling of events presented by the community of Lindsay.

Within the Lindsay downtown, visitors can relax, unwind and enjoy the peaceful, small town ambience where they are free to stroll through the mural-lined streets and explore living history.

The City of Lindsay is dedicated to giving all people the opportunity to become healthy, grow and flourish. To support the health and wellness activities within Lindsay, the City is has two state-of-the-art facilities; the McDermont Field House and the Lindsay Wellness Center. Both facilities provide the community with opportunities to receive health and wellness education, be active and have fun.

In the surrounding area, visitors can see the spectacular Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
