Lindsay Chamber of Commerce along with Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and STICKERZ, The Lindsay Sign Company hosted the April Mixer on April 22nd.

Women of all ages can learn self defense, become informed on agriculture, finances, fashion, and jobs at the upcoming South Valley Woman's Conference. The theme of the event is "Inspiring Women to Pursue Their Dreams!"
The event will be held May 08, 2010 at McDermont Field House, 365 N. Sweet Brier in Lindsay, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Invited guest: Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay and gubernatorial candidate for 2010. The conference will also feature Breakout Speaker California Women for Agriculture State President Celeste Settrini.

The Lindsay Chamber of Commerce's Annual Awards Dinner held in January was a complete success. Some who attended even went as far as saying it was the best ever. It is again time to honor the excellence for local business, individuals, and service projects that contribute to our community. The Chamber’s Annual Banquet provides an opportunity to recognize the contributions of those who lead the efforts. Nomination forms are due to the Chamber office no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 1, 2009. You are encouraged to present additional background information, support documents, and letters of recommendation with the nomination form. The more you present to support your nomination, the better informed the selection committee will be during the decision making process. Below, we have also provided information on the selection guidelines in order to help you understand how a person or business is chosen.
GUIDELINES In order to help you understand how a person or organization is chosen the guidelines for selection.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Measures present or most recent involvement in assisting or developing programs or services beneficial to the interests of the community.
SERVICE (ABOVE SELF) Participates in projects, services, events that benefit the community that are not self-servicing.
ETHICS Measures the honest and ethical practices to achieve the desired results.
LENGTH OF COMMUNITY SERVICE Measures the dedicated time committed to improving the community and improving the quality of life for our residents.
INNOVATION Measures the innovation for ideas, programs, and services, either enacted or projected.
LEADERSHIP Measures the person's/organization's command and control of programs or projects, meeting deadlines, inspiring others, and ability to gain support.
RULE SEVEN A catchall for unlisted activities or abilities that merit consideration in the overall selection process

The nomination process for the Lindsay Chamber Awards Banquet “Centennial Ball” is underway, and we need your assistance to ensure the continued success of this program. The annual awards banquet was established to recognize significant contributions made by the Lindsay community members and businesses. Awards will be presented to individuals whom have exemplified the spirit of Lindsay.
