The City of Lindsay is actively improving the downtown area. One of the most visual areas, is through the Lindsay Redevelopment Agency’s Storefront Enhancement Program (STEP).
The goal of the program is to work in partnership with the private sector to stimulate private investment in the city’s downtown.
The Lindsay Redevelopment Agency has already granted funding to several businesses including:
- El Palmar Restaurant and La Fiesta Banquet Hall, 130 S. Elmwood Ave.
- County Waffle Restaurant, 380 N. Highway 65,
- Palmer Insurance, 111 W. Honolulu
- and others.
The Agency has also arranged for additional murals in the downtown area, including two 20-foot mural panels on the northwest corner of the Suntreat Packing House, 766 E. Tulare Road, and a 16-foot mural on the City Services Building, 150 N. Mirage.
